There're more options, ships and items. You customize your ships in many ways i.e. ship classes, cargo space, canon, etc. There're many tasks to do, many characters to meet.
Tradewinds Legends is a lot better than Tradewinds 2. Better graphics and sounds. More options and items. Much improved combat system.
